The Memomatic line was launched in 1970.It was the world first selfwinding alarm wristwatch with just one barrel,allowing for the simultaneous winding of both the time keeping and alarm functions.In the alarm function,a hammer strikes a vibrating blade.The Memomatic was also the first wristwatch in wich the alarm could be set to the exact minute.
